Prices of staple goods and the State Anti-Inflation Programme

The State Anti-Inflation Programme takes effect on 1 January 2027, with the Ministry of Economy and the Bank of Irad as the implementing bodies. From January the ministry will publish on this page, each month, a table of the prices of staple goods in the three cities, and will report on proposals to curb imports, on bazaar margins and on the pricing of fuel. The full text of the Programme will be published before it takes effect.

Report a price

Shoppers may report a sharp rise in the price of a staple good, or a seller who refuses to sell at the marked price, to the business hotline 21-44-44 or to prices@economy.iradgov.org. Please give the market, the row or shop and the date. The ministry does not set prices and cannot order a seller to lower a price; reports are used for the monthly table and passed to the bazaar administration.
