Amendments to the Public Procurement Act take effect
The amended Public Procurement Act takes effect today. Single-source procurement is allowed only in the cases of article 21(1)(a) to (e); suppliers found unreliable are barred for two years (article 43); bids must be submitted in the state language (article 17(4)). Bids are still lodged on paper; electronic bidding is planned for 2027.
